Nanodiamond is diamond with a particle size of less than 100nm, which is a new and important member of the carbon nanometer family.
Nanodiamond particles with <10nm particle size are commonly used in medicine.
Nanodiamond has physical properties such as high hardness, optical transparency, thermal conductivity, electrical insulation, resistance to high voltage and weathering, and these unique properties have led to a wide range of applications in coatings, lubricants, polymer additives, electronic devices, sensors, and electrochemistry.
Meanwhile, nanodiamond has good biocompatibility, low toxicity and fluorescence but no photo-bleaching. These excellent biological properties, chemical inertness and the modifiability of genes on its surface have led to breakthroughs in biomedical applications that have received extensive attention from many scientists.
